Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle #3) by Maggie Stiefvater review

“Blue Sargent has found things. For the first time in her life, she has friends she can trust, a group to which she can belong. The Raven Boys have taken her in as one of their own. Their problems have become here, and her problems have become theirs.

The trick with found things, though, is how easily they can be lost. Friends can betray. Mothers can disappear. Visions can mislead. Certainties can unravel.”

Oh holy cow! This book was intense from beginning to end! I have to say so far this book has been my favorite of the series. Don’t get me wrong I have enjoy all the books but this one has me jaw dropping so many times. Even had a few “WTH?” out loud moments. My husband would look at me funny. πŸ˜‚

Ugh I so want to go into details but also don’t want to spoil for anyone. So I will leave this review spoil free but if you have read it and want to talk we can do spoils down below in the comments.

Maggie is such an amazing writer. Her words are so magical. She broke my heart, made my heart happy, made me cry, made me mad. For an author to make me feel all those emotions in one book is amazing! The ending left me 😳😱 so of course I had to dive right into the last book, The Raven King. I’m sad since I know it’s the end 😭

I have falling hard for Noah. He is more of a side character rather than a main (in my opinion) but his story is so heart breaking and you can’t help but fall in love with him. Adam has been my favorite to watch grow. The strength he has to overcome all he has gone through is memorable and something someone can look up to if they are going through a similar abusive relationship.

Ok enough or else I’ll start giving spoilers! But seriously I recommend this series to anyone! The twists, the turns, the jaw dropping moments! Ahhh! 😬

5/5 ⭐️ (actually it’s like a million ⭐️ πŸ˜‰)

  1. Yay, so glad you loved this! When I first started reading I thought I might not have enjoyed it as much as the others, but that quickly changed. It was so interesting. How crazy and intense was that ending!? I love Noah so much too. This series is everything 😍😍😍

    1. I enjoyed the first book. Dream Thieves was good but fell a little flat compared to The Raven Boys but gosh this one was just nuts! So much going on. I just loved it so much. I was not expecting Neeve to show up like that at the end! And then to find the Kings daughter in that tomb after 600 years! Ahhh!!! I’m slowly working my way through The Raven King. I’m only on chapter 6. It’s starting out a bit slow but I think it’s picking up now. Can’t wait for it to all come together and hopefully answer my million questions I have!

      1. The Dream Thieves was my favourite, but that could because I’m in love with Ronan haha. I wasn’t expecting Neeve either!! I thought we’d seen the last of her, haha. Gwendolyn was such an awesome addition too.

I hope you enjoy the rest of The Raven King!! Looking forward to hearing what you think 😊
