I am not sure who exactly is the original creator of this tag. I found it on google. So if you know please let me know so I can edit this post and tag them properly. Thanks! So without further ado…..
- “You’re a mean one, Mr Grinch…” – Name a villainous character you couldn’t help but love: I am going with Queen Levanna from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer and Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.
- “All I want for Christmas is you…” – Which book do you hope to see under the tree? Of course my list is like a MILE long for this answer but I knocked it down to the top two I have been dying to pick up lately. Elizabeth’s Rival by Nicola Tallis and The Road to Jonestown by Jeff Guinn
- “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer…” – Name a character that overcomes major obstacles and learns to believe in themselves. I went with Jesper Dent from the Jesper Dent trilogy by Barry Lyga. He went through a lot and had to overcome a lot. Being raised by a father who is a serial killer, a mother who mysteriously disappeared and the entire world with their eyes on him waiting to see if he becomes his father.
- “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”- A) Which character do you think would be on the naughty list? B) Which character do you think would be on the nice list? For the naughty list I went with Rosa from My Sister Rosa by Justine Larbalestier. Oh man Rosa is so naughty! And a complete psychopath. This is a must read book! For the nice list I went with Lou from NOS4A2 by Joe Hill. I just finished reading this book a week or so ago. Lou is such a sweet and amazing guy. He deserves to be happy and have tons of gifts from Santa!
- “Frosty the Snowman” – Which book just melts your heart? I went with The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli. Becky is in my top five favorite contemporary authors. Contemporary genre is not a favorite of mine. It’s not one I grab for often. But Becky has become an auto-buy now. I have loved everything of hers. The Upside of Unrequited hit my heart hard. I fell in love with all the characters. I related so well with the main character and her struggles. It will be a book I can reread often.
- “Feliz Navidad” – Choose a book that takes place in a country other than your own. I could have picked a number of books since a lot of fantasy books take place in worlds that don’t even exist. But I went with a book that takes place in our world but doesn’t take place in the United States. I choose Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. It takes place in Australia. I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun read. I did enjoy the tv series also but was a little sad that they changed the location to California. There really wasn’t a need for that. It would have worked just fine in Australia just like the book.
- “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” – Which holiday themed book do you use to spread holiday joy? I went with a classic for this question. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I won’t lie, I have yet to read the book but I have seen many many versions of the movie adaptation. I plan to fix that by reading it this year. Has anyone read the book yet?
- “Sleigh Ride” – Which fictional character would you choose to spend the holidays with? I thought this one would be hard but it wasn’t. August Flynn from This Savage Song Dueology by Victoria Schwab immediately popped into my head. I’m so in love with this character. He is supposed to be a villain but in all honesty he wants to be good so much.
Please let me know if you know who the artist is of this picture. I found it on google images and it didn’t have a link directly to the artist. I would love to give them proper credit.
- “Baby it’s Cold Outside” – Which book that you didn’t like would you sacrifice to a fire to warm yourself in the cold? Oh geez well immediately the book The Call by Peadar O’Guilin popped into my head. That book was so awful! It did have potential to be an amazing and scary book but it was NOT! But that book is so small it wouldn’t keep a fire going for very long so I’m going to add all John Green’s books too. Hahaha sorry not sorry!
- “Do You Hear What I Hear?” – Which book do you think everyone should read? Once again I could be here forever listing all the books I think everyone should read. But since I don’t have that time I went through the list of books I read in 2017 and picked one book that is my number one favorite read of 2017 and is not in my top five favorite books of all time. And the winner is *drumroll* My Best Friend’s Exorcism by Grady Hendrix. OMG this book! I mean everyone should read it because come on who doesn’t like the ’80s??? This book brought back so many childhood memories!!!!
I have to toot my own horn for a min. When I googled images for My Best Friend’s Exorcism this picture above popped up 7th on google images. And guess what??? It’s MY picture!!!! It’s the one I used for my book review of this book. I was feeling a little special. I’ve never had a picture be in the top 10 before on google images! Ok tooting is over now. lol
So that’s it folks! Any of these you agree with? What would some of your answers be?? Let me know in the comments below! Hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday!
