Reading & Life Update

I know I’ve been a slacker lately. That’s life I guess. I have been pretty busy with work. I was picking up some extra shifts since we were short staffed. For those of you who don’t know I am a Med Aide at a nursing home. Basically I am a legal drug dealer. So this post will be an update on what’s been going on lately and what I am currently reading.

Currently Reading:

One of my reading goals this year was to finish the last book in every series I started, love but am too afraid to finish. So I decided to pick up A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab. I am about 250ish pages in and it has already made me cry a couple times. Ms. Schwab is in my top 5 favorite authors. I have yet to read a book of hers I didn’t love. I will be sad to see this series end when I finish this book. I am completely in love with the characters and world. The magical elements and traveling between the different Londons is so fascinating.

After I finish this book I am thinking of doing one of my Book vs Movie Blogs. I haven’t done one in a while. Since the new Pet Semetary movie came out I am thinking of rereading the book (it’s been well over 10 years since I’ve read it) and then re-watch the original movie and then new one and review them all. I love doing those types of blogs.

Life Update:

Well as mentioned above I have been working a lot. But besides that I have a few other things that have happened in the last couple weeks/months. For starters I finally moved the rest of my stuff over to my new place. So I have bookcases again!!!! 3 in my bedroom and 2 in the living room. In the living rom I have one bookcase on each side of the TV. I plan to hang my Nimbus 2000 broom above the TV. I need to go buy the hooks for it still. I am loving how my place is finally coming together and looking like a home. Got the kids loft beds put together, my new dining room table and chairs got delivered and I got a bed as well.

and last but not least, my bed!

The other morning I also went to the local animal shelter and rescued 2 kittens. They are estimated to be about 4 months old.

This is Abraxos. Named after Manon Blackbeak’s Wyvern in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. He is a cuddler and climber. Loves being in your face.

This is Scotland. She is named after my favorite country ever. She is feisty and loves to play.

Before I close out this blog I want to give a shout-out to a certain someone who keeps encouraging me to blog/write. He is always telling me he thinks I should write. He may be right. Thanks Jay. It means a lot when you encourage me. I do have an idea for a book that I have been wanting to write for a long time. I think I will work on outlines for it so I am ready for NaNoWriMo in November. Would you like me to post updates on the book writing also? Maybe give little previews for opinions and such?
