August…such a sad reading month (wrap 2017)

I’m not mad at myself, nor will I best myself up for not reading more. Just sad 😞 I’ve been going through a lot emotionally and mentally. I’ve recently gotten help from my doctor and started some new meds. Hoping in a couple months I start feeling better. For now my body is trying to adjust to new meds which makes me feel strange and a wee bit tired….but nonetheless I did manage to read a few books and DNF’d 2! So let’s get going…..

Random was the first book I was able to read and finish. It’s a short book but punched a pack for sure. You can find my fill reciew here. I gave this a 5/5 🌟

This was an impulse buy at Walmart. Sounded interesting and decided to buy it. Sat down and read it in one sitting. It’s was a fun read. Review And I ended up giving it 4/5 🌟

Next I picked up Psycho. It’s for part one of my read/watch/blog (click here for more info) project. This one will be classic horrors. I will start posting my blogs for the Horror edition of that project in September. Sadly this one was a 2/5 🌟 for me. I’ll go more in depth when I do up the blog post. So be on the look out for that.

Now to my 2 DNF’s:

I got over 120 pages or so in. Can’t remember exactly and it was so burning. Nothing really exciting was happening. I was not feeling any of the characters, the instalove/makeout crap was annoying. I feel like it was taking over the story. Just couldn’t subject myself to it anymore. So unhaul pile it goes…

Never read this as a kid. So thought I’d try it now since everyone raves about it. But nope! No no no no! Borning, all over the place, underdeveloped, flat and omg I wanted to strangle that little boy 🤦🏻‍♀️ unhaul and won’t be reading the rest. Still might check out the new movie coming out soon. We will see
Well ladies and gents! That’s it 🤷🏻‍♀️ told you it was a sad month for reading.

Current read and next up for the classic horror edition of RWB (Read/Watch/Blog) is:

Fingers crossed this is better than Psycho….🤞🏻🤞🏻
