love, & You by Gretchen Gomez review

one day i met a guy
who stole my heart,
we created a world
for outselves.
and another day
he broke my heart
and shattered
my soul.

Poetry isn’t a genre I generally reach for. Except for Shel Silverstein, I could read those over and over 😂😂. Then I found Gretchen Gomez on Instagram. She took her heartache and pain and turned it into something beautiful and relatable. Our stories may differ but our pain is the same. This book gave me hope that I too can get through what I’m dealing with and turn out even better on the other side. Below I’m going to list a few of my favorite pieces from the book:

not a son in search of his mother.
