2016 wrap up! 

Wow oh wow! Where did 2016 go? Not that I’m complaining because it was kind of a rough year personally. So I’m ready for tackle 2017! But as far as 2016 reading went, it was FANTASTIC! 

I set a goal of 40 books to read on my Goodreads reading challenge. I surpassed that! I read 77 books 😳 this is a first for me! 

Here is a little wrap-up questionnaire:

🎈 A book you planned to read but didn’t: oh gosh..I’ll be nice and just pick two cause this list could be long 😂

  • Queen of Shadows & Empire of Storms by Sarah J Maas

🎈 Worst book of 2016:

  • The Call by Peadar Ó Guilín 2/5 🌟 the only reason it got 2 instead of 1 star was because it had the potential to be an amazing horror story but it was horribley written 😔
  • Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes 1/2 🌟 😔 this book was so dissapointing. Not a great follow up to You which I gave 5/5 🌟.

  • Jesper & Wylan from the Six of Crows duology 😍

🎈 Favorite villain of 2016:

  • August Flynn from This Savage Song. I don’t really view him as a villain but he is a monster so he’s suppose to be the “bad” guy. But honestly I love him sooo much! 

🎈 Best contemporary of 2016: all things Rainbow Rowell! I read her for the first time this year and OMG 😱

🎈 Book that caught you by surprise: I love history. It was my favorite subject in school. But I don’t remember learning about the events that happened in this book. 😔 Broke my heart

  • Between Shades of Grey by Ruta Sepetys 5/5 🌟

🎈 Best YA fantasy of 2016: I was slow to get on board of the YA Fantasy train but I’m totally hooked! 

  • Six of Crows & Crooked Kingdom duology by Leigh Bardugo 5/5 🌟 for both 
  • Throne of Glass (5/5 🌟), Queen of Shadows (5/5 🌟) and Heir of Fire (4/5 🌟) by Sarah J Maas
  • The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater (5/5 🌟 for all)

🎈 Smallest book read in 2016: This is note the newly released screenplay but the library one released in 2001:

  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them; 59 pages 5/5 🌟
